Hello friends and family,
Living in New England has already been a wonderful adjustment for the two of us! We discovered that some habits had been established in our marriage and home that weren't healthy. We weren't able to cook meals together, spend time together during the evenings or enjoy exercising together due to our work schedules and pace of life. Settling into New England has allowed us to recalibrate our daily schedules together, and we are enjoying this new day-in-day-out flow to our day.
One of the beautiful things about this area is that there is a lot to do for not very much money! With the beach six miles away and wonderful hiking and biking trails everywhere, this has proved to be a fun way for us to spend our afternoons!

Did I mention that apartments don't have A/C? We had the fun adventure of installing our first A/C unit! It's little things like this that remind us of how far from Texas we are...
We took some time to explore the city of Boston last week! We explored the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston Commons and the North End. Boston is a beautiful, historically-rich city. I can't get enough of it!

During our time in Bell Hall, we have been blessed by wonderful friends already! We are enjoying living in community with other believers. It's almost like we're in college again, but everyone is married and/or has kids!
We visited First Congregation Church of Hamilton on Sunday. The church has been established for 300 years - the history is rich everywhere we go! It was a Christ-centered sermon, and we both enjoyed our time. We both are anxious to explore different churches in Boston Proper and haven't yet decided where our church home will be for the next two years. We sat in front of the President of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and we all got to talking after the service! Talk about divine intervention...
It has been a joy exploring and getting to know our area for the past 10 days. There is much to learn and discover, yet we are slowly getting accustomed to our new home.
Thank you for your continued prayers and encouragement. Jimmy is starting Orientation today, and I'm anxious to hear how his first days as a seminary student are coming along!
Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world,
but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—
his good, pleasing and perfect will.

In Him,
