Bittersweet

Today is bittersweet.
Today is my (Emily's) last day as an ALSAC employee. I feel immensely blessed to have gotten the opportunity to raise money and fundraise for the families of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. While there were many moments of exhaustion and frustration, there were many more moments of joy, laughter and passion.
This morning, I meditated on the familiar verse of Jeremiah 29:11 - "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." I know this verse so well, but do I always trust and believe it?

God says "For I Know the Plans I Have For You" yet I am quick to say under my breath, "But God, where are those plans? I don't see them and I need control". This is where my faith in Jesus Christ meets the road. If I trust that His plans are for me and Jimmy to prosper and not to harm us, plans to give us a hope and a future, then what do I fear?

Join me in praying as Jimmy and I venture up the northeast coast to our home in South Hamilton. This blog will be where we post our musings, prayers, thoughts and many pictures throughout our journey as Bostonians for a time.

We hope you enjoy keeping up with the Millers in Mass!

Love,
The Millers
